Wednesday 5th August 2009
Finished classes early after completing the quiz and went down to the harbour.
Split into two groups. The first group went off in the highspeed inflatable to visit one of the Island Nature Reserves. The area is popular with the Common Seal and we saw adult and baby seals close up to the boat.
We moved on to another island with the lighthouse where the larger Grey Seals live. They are not as tame as the Common Seals and kept their distance from our boat. A good afternoon and everyone got wet!
Returned to the harbour and the second group went out to see what we had seen.
Stopped off at Starbucks Cafe on the way back and will return there this evening.
During our travels we are noting some of the shows being advertised and will go on our last night next week.
